Sydney Kunene Transport (Pty) Ltd was established in 2004 with the aim of importing and exporting petroleum products within the SADC region.The company is Black owned and managed. 

Sydney Kunene Transport (SKT) as mandated itself to respond to the following socio-economic challenges, within the SADC Region:

  • High unemployment with the SADC region.
  • Inadequate skills capacities win the SADC countries.
  • Poor economic inactivity of young people and other marginalised sectors of the population.

    PRODUCTS AND SERVICES

    SKT has managed to successfully align itself with major players in the sector, and established relations with suppliers. These include the Russian Federation, Angola, South Africa and SADC suppliers and users.

    Because of these relations, SKT can source and supply products at competitive rates. Currently SKT holds refinery allocations in Angola and the Russian Federation in excess of 425,000 MT per month of Diesel, Jet Fuel and Crude oil.SKT can provide the following products:

  • Diesel
  • Jet Fuel
  • Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG)
  • Crude Oil or Bonny Light Crude - BLCO
  • Russian Export Blend Crude Oil – REBCO
  • Lubricants
  • The supply of coal
  • Rendering a internal transport service to Rheinmetall Denel Munition through a shuttle and chauffeur service


    • Sydney Kunene Transport (Pty) Ltd can offer the above products CIF ASWP basis, some of them also on a FOB (Rotterdam) basis. Should a buyer require FOB from other ports this can be negotiated.

    The products offered can be distilled to client specific requirements. Also, where distribution challenges are identified SKT enters into agreements with logistics operators with a view to ensuring reliable supply of products.

    The company has a business relationship with PetroSA.

    LOGISTICS SOLUTIONS

    In order to ensure reliable products supply, SKT is continually engaging participants in the logistics field with a view to securing cost effective means of transportation.

    Currently the company has agreements in place for rail, road and pipeline within the SADC region.
